Short Description

The group focus on experimental investigations of nuclear structure and reactions using state-of-the art international facilities. There is special attention to exotic shapes and sizes of nuclear isotopes near the extremes of the nuclear chart.

In addition, the group is active in collaborations with scientists across various disciplines to study environmental applications of nuclear technology and radioactivity. Recently, a highly innovative R&D project (RAMONES) has been funded by EU H2020 to develop new instruments aboard autonomous robotic vehicles and carry out detailed radioactivity measurements in ocean ecosystems.
